Usually in my work, I made a model that I liked and used fabrics and materials of my stock, but lately have request me bags with sizes, colors and forms that involve bailing blocks, play with few colors and also dark, and other details that I have to solve, one dares to innovate (although it also is a “gaffe").

This bag is for knit works of an older woman (soon turning 90 years), she wouldn't hang the bag on his shoulder neither use light fabrics, she wanted a bag of burgundy and blue colors, and two inches smaller than always I make.

I had to cut the block with appliqué, using extra colors (beige color helps a lot), put a little lace, and this was the result. I knew that she loved the bag and I was satisfied with this challenge. Gracias Yasmin.

Also this week I met Yasmin of “Patchwork, mi passion” blog, a very charming person, we set to talk on a bench in the middle a store of fabrics, while vendors and customers continued their routine, were more than two hours entertaining and well utilized. She gave me a needle case, very beautiful and neatly worked. Thanks Yasmin.
Nos vemos pronto.
Goodbye.

I want to thank the host of my new project. I hope you enjoy and find in my shop complements for you.

Making bags has become a passion for me, since my first purse from a velvet jacket (I still remember my mother's face when she saw the jacket transformed), I have developed several models, some I have result immediately and others, I have learned from the mistakes (and horrors).

When I bought a panel with birds somewhat abstract design (1.0 x 0.5 m. approx.), my first thought was to make a table runner, only quilting. But, later I wanted to use in a bag, use a fabric coordinated in style and color of the panel. For handles, I use the same material the edge of the scrap. The model is a classic, the bag says it all.

My shop is opened, this bag and others that I’ll incorporate, you can find there.

Hasta pronto.
Goodbye.

Cuento Corto / Short Tale

Once upon a time a mother while raising her children, she liked to do things to decorate your home.

One day came to where she lived a village store employee, he brought a gift that her husband had purchased for she. It was a sewing machine. With this machine, the mom started sew your kitchen curtains, tablecloths for the dining room, sheets for the beds of their children, and finally, all that was needed at home. Only one thing does not sew: clothing, neither patching on pants of their children.
Once, while she walking through the village, saw a patchwork shop, and came to ask what it was, and there she stayed. There she discovered a new world, learned to make more things for your home, family and friends, until one day she decided to share their work with the neighborhood, and so she opened his shop along the road where she would sell works that she made, more to receive patchwork and quilting orders.

And ... they all lived happily ever after.
My shop is opened.

A la antigua / Old style

Have long I wanted to change the decoration in a corner of the home access. For years, I there hung a painted ceramic stack, my first forays into this type of painting, at 1996. (Reading this paragraph, I realize that often do not renew my environment, I am very stable with the decor).
Looking at some blogs and decorating magazines, I was enchanted with different mini shelves I found there. One of these would replace the stack.

Hands to Work, this part is best: where I was find shelve?
I have to admit that in a matter of "antiques", I am champion to join all sorts of things, antique dolls and toys (some to restore), china, lamps, etc.., and ...drawers rescued from a cabinet unrecoverable.
I designed shelve from a square drawer, and used two little drawers of a piece of furniture for children, the white paint and worn, gave the final touch.

A tip for Maria Cecilia, the tray and purse, I found them at a fair Peñaflor.Hasta pronto.
Goodbye.
