Entre lluvia y lluvia…/ Between rain and rain...

…Florecieron más bolsos. Aproveché un momento con buena luz natural para tomar las fotos, pero cuando colgué las carteras empezó a correr mucho viento y luego el cielo se puso así.

Este año tejí varios grannys para un bolso, pero para armarlo tuve que hacer otra cartera con una tela que se ve a través de los bloques tejidos a crochet y un forro para el interior, más una tela de algodón entre ambas para que la cartera tuviera cuerpo. Cuando estaba lista, con manillas incluidas (es un poco incomodo coser estas asas de madera), recién ahí cosí a mano el tejido. Me gustó el modelo, pero el próximo bolso tendrá que ser en hilo para estrenarlo en primavera…esa primavera que por acá pedimos a gritos, ja, ja.

De todo un poco / A little bit of everything

Cada cierto tiempo hago una entrada “de todo un poco” y es que “hay mucho que contar” o “nada nuevo que mostrar”.
Hace unos días contemplé fascinada los aromos florecidos en mi calle, signo que la primavera se avecina, pero desde ayer el invierno se hizo sentir con lluvias que no paran desde anoche.

avancé con bolsos que me pidieron, y aunque no me gusta la confección en serie, este modelo es el que más me solicitan, así que para no cansarme varío telas, texturas, bordados, acolchados a mano o a máquina, e incluso sus dimensiones.

Con un toque antiguo / With a touch of old

Así quedaron estos cuadros bordados en punto cruz. Cree un sampler a mi gusto de tres gráficos de árboles y lo complementé con un bolillo en el tono, un recurso visto en los delicados trabajos de bordados franceses. También el marco debía seguir el mismo estilo. A un marco corriente comprado en un supermercado le pegué molduras de madera con figuras de aves, y luego el proceso que he mostrado antes: pintura blanca, desgastado con alcohol y sellado, esta vez con cera incolora.

So these pictures were cross-stitch embroidery. I made to my taste a sampler of three graphs of trees and I add with a lace on tone, a detail seen in the delicate work of French embroidery. The framework should also follow the same style. The frame purchased from a supermarket, I pasted wood moldings with shape of birds, and then the process I have shown before: white paint to water, worn with alcohol and sealed, this time with colourless wax.

Este otro cuadro, que inicialmente serían dos mini cuadros con tres motivos cada uno, es para decorar el comedor de diario dentro de la cocina. Aquí use una puntilla más angosta para no recargar el pequeño diseño.

Aunque he bordado mucho punto cruz, estos son los primeros que he enmarcado y he quedado muy satisfecha con el resultado.
