Profesión u oficio: artesana / Profession or occupation: crafter

Lo debo haber tenido en la sangre, pero no se manifestó durante mi infancia ni época escolar, el gusto por la artesanía. Después del colegio, estudié una carrera relacionada con matemáticas.
La única manualidad que hacía en esa época, y que había sido transmitida de generación en generación en mi familia era el tejido, el bordado y algo de costura.
Hace 17 años atrás, mientras estaba al cuidado de mis dos hijos mayores, que aún no asistían al colegio, fui invitada a participar en un taller de pintura de figuras de yeso en policromía, y a pesar de que no lo hice por mucho tiempo, el conocer un lenguaje nuevo: pátinas, tierras de color, betunes para envejecer u oxidar, me fascinó.
Este fue el inicio de una actividad que partió de cero y que cada año fui incorporando nuevas técnicas y perfeccionándome.



What I have in the blood, but is not expressed during my childhood neither school time, the love of craftsmanship. After school, I studied a career related to math.
The only handmade that I made then, and it had been passed down from generation to generation in my family was knitting, embroidery and sewing something.
For 17 years ago, while I took care of my two older sons, when they didn’t go to school yet, I was invited to participate in a workshop paint plaster figures in polychromatic, and even though I did not for a long time, to learn a new language: patinas, land color, bitumens for aging and corrode, fascinated me.
This was the beginning of an activity that started from zero and that every year I was incorporating new techniques and perfect me.
