Casi listo / Almost ready

Ready by quilting is my quilt Bunny Patch led by Emi. I found a pleasure to add some details of embroidery as part of my personal stamp. The garden of the rabbit, the large flower and butterfly were embroidered, but this time my camera did not accompany me, I searched the camera of my son, but he was carrying it, and as I did not want to lose valuable time, I continue preparing the quilt for the quilting, that is the reason that's pictures appear with the details basting.

Rosas / Roses

Sorry, I know that I have not shown signs of life. Is that there are seasons with more work load, and this is one of them. This, my first year of blog, was all new to me, I discovered the SAL and swap, and in all I wished to be. I'm not repented; on the contrary I have enjoyed every project and swap, only that the time progresses and I continued to accumulate tasks. Free time of this week, I devoted to move in my works. While I contemplated my garden and would resolve when a new post, I decided to share my roses in gratitude to his visits.

There comes October and Halloween is everywhere. A few years ago that Chile has been introduced this party of Celtic origin, being the young and children who have embraced this as a game. Unfortunately the adults have not internalized, and fewer are prepared to receive children with sweets, the jokes of them are very unpleasant.
Perhaps over the years we adapt to this party and even will have a Chilean version of it or simply not going with our idiosyncrasies.

I know, in that place where I live there are legends, magic and mystery, etc. Talagante comes from the Quechua word "Talacanta" that means "Tie sorcerer." And knowingly or not, people from other places associated Talagante with witches.

Looking into the matter, I found this:
"The Witches of Talagante are evil people, who are in many places, say the author of
Myths and Superstitions , Julio Cifuentes, who adds that, are particularly at El
Monte, Talagante and others places and that are especially the women in our country who
are dedicated to the art of witchcraft.
And the witches of Talagante are which acquired the national level greater visibility. In the area is believed that witches can fly, transforming into animals with wings or riding on
a broom, those granted to utter words "Without God, or Santa Maria".
According to popular belief, witches of Talagante have power and knowledge, to attack people's lives, for the curses that they spray on their lives".

After that, I hope not to have the pleasure of knowing any of them, because as the saying goes "I do not believe in witches Garay, but if there are any, are."

This is the first mystery quilt that I make. I followed the instructions of Patchowl without imagining that it would be. I liked much, is very simple and quick to perform. But as I like to complicate my life, and I' m not one person of simple things, I'm going to add some angels in the blocks of solid fabrics. I hope that the effect will be good.

Un regalo y cosas nuevas / A gift and new things

Hi, first I want to thank you for your condolences, have been very kind.

This week I received a gift from Malta, the lovely Pauline, of Paru's Circle, sent me some delicate works in cross stitch, made up for her, for I will include somewhere design mine. For a long time that I don't embroider and thanks to an invitation yours, I came back this year to do this technique and I am delighted with this again.

Also I wanted to paint and to make decoupage cracked in glass, so after three classes, each fortnight, I was able to finish the fruit-bowl that I had bought in a supermarket, giving a new look.

I did these little frames with ducks (I lack even the second frame, as if someone said that I use the same for the two photos). The decoupage is a very entertaining and can be done in different ways. For the moment I will decorate so, some dishes from an antique set of dessert.

Hasta pronto.

Goodbye.

Tratando de avanzar / Trying to move forward

It has passed several days since I decided to change my posts, but as the saying goes "one proposes and God provides." Last week the dad of my husband died, and we were away from home a few days. Back to home, we had to retake all the tasks in the home and school for children. I did not have enough time to write a post.

I had planned to finish the SAL of Emi, "Bunny Patch," but it was not possible, in any case, I lack only the rabbit (he is maimed) and the butterfly, and is nearing the end. In addition, already the quilt has owner: my maternal grandmother, which celebrates 87 years old in next December.

Another SAL that I participate is the Noel Sampler of Carole, a French site that I found in my lap to the world. I was delighted, as the colours that it have, too.

Nos vemos pronto.

Goodbye.
