Pequeñas labores / Small works

Como ya es costumbre, antes de que termine el mes muestro los trabajos acabados para el desafío “One Project a month Challenge” y estos son:

As usual, before the end of month I show the finished works for "One month to Project Challenge" and these are:

Un nuevo bolso para las compras, el otro que tengo es más pequeño, guardo un par de paquetes y no hay espacio para nada más. Use tela de algodón hindú, tiene un aspecto rústico muy suave y aproveché diferentes motivos tejidos a crochet para decorarlo. El acolchado lo hice totalmente a mano formando una guía de flores.

A new bag for shopping, the other bag that I have is small; I keep a few packages and no space for anything else. I use cotton Hindu fabric, has a rustic look very smooth and I took different motifs woven crochet to decorate it. The quilt I made completely by hand as a guide to flowers.

También realicé un canasto para mantener en orden algún pequeño proyecto, la explicación está muy clara aquí. Usé bordados de una antigua blusa de mezclilla, y el resultado me encantó (en este blog hay motivos navideños para decorar el canasto, después de todo puede resultar un bonito regalo).

Also I made a basket in order to maintain a small project, the tutorial is very clear here. I used a jeans old shirt embroidered, and I loved the result (in this blog there are Christmas motifs to decorate the basket, after all it may be a nice gift).

Y por último, este mini-mini bolsito, un regalo para la polola de mi hijo, que usa para guardar su teléfono celular.

And finally, this mini-mini bag, a gift for girlfriend of my son, she use to keep your cell phone.

Yo los llamé pequeñas labores, pero muchas veces tienen más detalles que un trabajo grande.

Intercambio 15 x 15 / Swap 15 x 15

¡¡¡Caí en tentación!!! No había pensado en participar en intercambios por ahora, solo me había organizado para terminar varios proyectos acumulados. Pero no pude resistir ante estos simpáticos bloques que se están cambiando en los blog de costura.

I fell into temptation!!! I had not thought to participate in swaps for now; just I organized to finish several projects accumulated. But I could not resist these cute blocks that are being changed in sewing blog.

El tema que elegí para el bordado es “Mi jardín”, y estos son los primeros que envié.

Antes y después / Before and after

He vuelto a pintar un mueble, ahora una mesa de centro para el estar familiar.
Armé esta mesa de a poco, ya que la encontré por partes en distintas tiendas de muebles usados. Durante un verano encontré la cubierta con tallados, detalle que me fascina, y meses después, en otro lugar, hallé en pésimo estado lo que debe haber sido un velador, sin cajón y sin cubierta. Un maestro mueblista se encargó de pegarla (ya que bailaba para todos lados) y fijarle la cubierta; después yo la lijé y la dejé así.

I have painted furniture, now a coffee table for familiar room.
I made this table slowly, as I found in various parts of used furniture stores. During one summer I found covered with carved, a detail that fascinates me, and months later, in another place, I found it in terrible condition that it must have been a night table, without box and cover. A carpenter was charged with paste (as the table danced for all sides) and fix the cover, after I sanded and I left it well.

No logré mantener pegado el enchapado interior, se desprendía de mirarlo, así que la solución fue hacer un “decoupage con tela” y luego sellarlo con varias manos de laca vítrea brillante.

I can not keep sticking the veneer interior, so the solution was to make a "decoupage with fabric" and then sealed with various gloss lacquer glass.

El exterior de la mesa fue pintado con látex blanco y después látex café, y a continuación con una mezcla de dos tonos rojos. Por último vino el desgastado de la pintura con alcohol, efecto que me encanta, aunque quedó con el brazo que no lo puedo mover por el resto del día. El sellado lo realicé con laca vítrea mate.

The exterior of the table was painted, first, with white latex, after with brown latex, then with a mixture of two shades of red latex. Finally came the paint worn off of alcohol, an effect which I love, but I remained with the arm that I can not move through the day. The seal is made with glass matt lacquer.

A continuación algunos detalles del desgastado, no me gusta ocultar las imperfecciones del mueble, al contrario le destaco sus grietas, enchapado roto, o perforaciones de clavos, para mí, tiene que continuar siendo un mueble con historia o no uno recién salido de fábrica.

Here are some details of the worn, I do not like to hide the imperfections of the furniture, on the contrary I highlight its cracks, broken plating, or nail holes, for me, must remain a table with history and not a fresh from the factory.

Cambio de giro / Change of use

Constantemente estoy buscando cosas antiguas en los puestos de cachureos, es algo muy divertido, y uno encuentra muchas curiosidades.
En una ocasión encontré este porta plancha de hierro, creo que hubo uno similar en casa cuando yo era niña (sí…uhhhh), me encantaba su forma y sencillos dibujos.

I am constantly looking for things in the antique's stores, is something very fun, and one finds many curiosities.
On one occasion I found a support of iron, I think there was a similar one at home when I was a girl (yes, uhhhh ...), I loved its shape and simple drawings.

Cuando llegué a casa, toda ingenua, quise usarlo en mi planchador, pero las planchas actuales tienen la base más grande, por lo que este nostálgico soporte no era adecuado.
Es así como cambie su uso, y quedó como una decorativa porta macetero.

When I got home, I all naive, I wanted to use it for my press, but the current irons are larger base, so this "nostalgic" support was inadequate.
So as, I change its use, and remained as a decorative support of flowerpot.

Y esto es un regalo: la primera rosa que hay en mi jardín después de la poda.

And this is a gift: first rose that's in my garden after pruning.
