Cortina reciclada / Recycled Curtain

Confeccioné una nueva cortina para la cocina, pero con materiales reciclados: a partir de un par de servilletas con un pequeño corazón calado, una tela estampada con motitas (creo que se llama plumeti) y muchos botones de diferentes tamaños y formas.

I made a new curtain for the kitchen, but with recycled materials: from a couple of napkins with a little heart setting, a fabric with specks (I think his name is plumeti) and several buttons of different sizes and shapes.

El diseño y la costura son muy simples, incluso la unión de la servilleta y la otra tela la realicé cosiendo los botones.

The design and sewing are very simple, the binding between napkin and fabric, I realized sewing the buttons.
Conseguí un nuevo look para el comedor de diario y de paso empleé unas servilletas que no tenían uso.

Mezcla de telas / Mixed fabrics

Usando telas de vestuario y tapicería, hice una colcha multiuso. En un bloque simple, a base de rectángulos y cuadrados, combiné cotelón rojo, terciopelo negro, retazos de tela de cortinas y tapices estampados. Como las telas son gruesas, no use punzonado para acolchar, pero sí lo forré con polar de color rojo. En el acolchado, guías de hojas y hojas sueltas en varias partes de la colcha.

Using clothing and upholstery fabrics, I made a quilt multipurpose. On the blocks, based on rectangles and squares, I combined corduroy red, black velvet, curtain fabric scraps and printed fabrics. As the fabrics are thick, I don't use batting for quilting, but if, I use red fleece as back. I quilted leaves-guide and flyer leaves in various parts of the quilt.

Decoración Religiosa / Religious Decoration

Hoy quiero mostrarles algunas figuras religiosas que, por diferentes motivos, he ido incorporando y forman parte de la decoración de mi hogar.

El crucifijo repujado, perteneció a mi abuela paterna, y desde muy niña lo vi en casa de mis padres, luego lo llevaron a la casa de la playa, y finalmente quedó guardado en un closet. Ya viviendo en mi casa de Lonquén, lo pedí, seguro que hallaría un lugar para colgarlo, y así fue, sobre la puerta de entrada, cuidando el movimiento de mi hogar. A Jesús le falta un brazo y gran parte del repujado tiene una pátina de óxido, yo adoro estos detalles, nunca he querido restaurarlo.

The crucifix embossed, belonged to my paternal grandmother, and since childhood I saw in my parents' house, then took him to the beach house, and finally was kept in a closet. Y esta virgen la pinté con la técnica de policromía, le diseñé un candelabro en fierro, está ubicada en el corredor fuera de la casa, frente al estacionamiento.
