A tiempo / On time

Aún quedan algunas horas para que termine marzo, y acabo de terminar un nuevo UFO para el desafío “One project a month”. Este camino de mesa con estrellas lo comencé hace un año atrás con motivo de una exposición en la cual participé. Alcancé a acolchar algo a máquina, y como el día de la exposición no estaba listo, quedó guardado. Y lo guardé muy bien, pues recién apareció mientras buscaba unas telas que ahora estoy ocupando. En todo caso, si lo hubiera terminado en aquella ocasión, estoy segura que no tendría el acolchado a mano que le hice y que se puede ver en las fotos.

There were still some hours to complete March and I just finished a new UFO for the challenge "One project a month". This table runner with the stars, I started it a year ago, due an exhibition in which I participated. I had just little quilted, and as the day of the exhibition was not ready, it was saved. And it kept very well, I found only while looking for some new fabrics which I am now occupying. In any case, if it had ended at that time, I'm sure that would not have the hand-quilted it and did you see in the photos.

También avancé con un diseño para pascuas, el patrón de este huevo está gratis en el blog de Esther y lo que pretendo hacer con él, espero terminarlo a tiempo.

Also I advanced with a design for Easter, the pattern of this egg is free on Esther's blog and what I intend to do with him, I hope to finish it on time.

Ángeles / Angels

Hace un tiempo atrás participé en varios desafíos de pintura y decoración (el día 25 hay uno en Sanctuary Arts at Home, y tenía planeado participar, pero la repisa que deseo decorar, el mueblista aún la está reparando), así que continué cosiendo.

Some time ago I participated in several challenges Painting and Decorating (25 is the day in Sanctuary Arts at Home, and had planned to participate but the shelf, that I wish to decorate, still the woodworkers being repaired), so I continued sewing.

En el Club de la Costura se hizo un desafío con un diseño de un ángel Tilda, había que bordarlo y luego hacer cualquier trabajo con él. Yo hice este cojín “crazy”, en el cual, aparte de bordar el motivo principal, bordé con diferentes puntadas, las uniones de las telas.

On the Club de la Costura was realized a challenge with a design of an angel Tilda, had that embroider it and then do any work with him. I made this pillow "crazy", in which, besides the main motif embroidery, I embroidered various stitches on seams of the block.

Los días martes, me junto con una amiga a coser, no hacemos lo mismo, sino que cada una trabaja en lo que tiene pendiente, y es increíble como a pesar de conversar bastante, también nos cunde. El martes pasado no tenía ganas de ir con la máquina de coser a cuestas, así que busqué uno de mis bloques pendientes e hice “Penélope de An angel story” guiado por el Club de la Costura. Aquí está mi trabajo.

On Tuesday, a friend and me gather to sew, not do the same, but each one works with the projects is outstanding, and it is incredible how despite talk a lot, we are moving the seam. Last Tuesday I hadn't desire to go the sewing machine behind him, so I looked one of my blocks outstanding and made "Penelope of An angel story " guided by the Club de la Costura. Here is my work.

Espero que esta semana quede lista mi repisa, a este ritmo, quizás termine otro ángel que tengo pendiente.

Estoy de vuelta…/ I am back...

…Y con 50 años recién cumplidos.

... And 50 years just completed.

Ya que como dice el refrán:”No hay plazo que no se cumpla, ni deuda que no se pague”, simplemente llegué a esta edad feliz, realizada como persona, madre y esposa, aceptándome físicamente (chiquitita y semi delgada o semi gordita), con mis limitaciones (visuales y auditivas) y disfrutando al máximo de mis capacidades intelectuales y artísticas.

Because as the saying goes: "No deadline is not met, or that debt is not paid", I got to this age very happy, performed as a person, mother and wife, I accept myself physically (low stature, semi thin or semi fat) with my limitations (visual and ear problems), and enjoying the best of my abilities intellectual and artistic.

Mi marido junto a mis hijos organizó una fiesta el fin de semana, y celebré mi cumpleaños en compañía de mis familiares y amigos. A pesar de estar al tanto, yo no moví un dedo, esa era la idea. Sólo confeccioné unas “frutillas” que entregué como recuerdo a los que me acompañaron ese día.

The weekend, my husband and my children organized a party and I celebrated my birthday in the company of my family and friends. Despite I being aware, I did not lift a finger, that was the idea. Only I sew to "strawberries" who I gave as souvenir to those who accompanied me that day.

Cojines reciclados / Recycled Pillows

Soy una fanática del reciclado, desde muebles, materiales de construcción y ropa. Para mí, todo puede tener una segunda vida. Con paciencia y creatividad resulta un nuevo objeto para usar y decorar… y esto sucedió con un chaleco de algodón, una falda de lino y una blusa.

I'm a fan of recycling, furniture, building materials and clothing. For me, everything can have a second life. With patience and creativity is achieved a new object for use and decoration ... and this happened with a cotton sweater, a linen skirt and a blouse.

Aquí está el chaleco con trenzas, con unas pequeñas flores tejidas a crochet usando hilo del mismo chaleco.

Here is the sweater with braids, using thread of same sweater; I made small flowers woven crochet.

Con una trenza solitaria armé este cojín, tejí círculos a crochet y bordé con el mismo material una guía en puntada cadeneta.

This pillow was sewed with a lonely braid; I crocheted circles and embroidered, with the same material, a chain stitch guide.

Usando un bloque circular de patchwork, armé este frente, y aplique dos antiguas carpetitas tejidas a crochet en un hilo muy fino.

Using a circular block patchwork I sewed this front, and apply two old folder crochet woven into a very fine yarn.

Por último, usando la parte posterior de una blusa de lino, bordé en rojo (redwork) un simpático diseño de Sue Sunbonnet, la parte de atrás del cojín conserva la abotonadura de la blusa.

Finally, using the back of a linen shirt, I embroidered in red (redwork) a nice design Sue Sunbonnet, the back of the pillow keeps the buttons of the blouse.

Son ideas muy simples para realizar y reciclar.
