Usually in my work, I made a model that I liked and used fabrics and materials of my stock, but lately have request me bags with sizes, colors and forms that involve bailing blocks, play with few colors and also dark, and other details that I have to solve, one dares to innovate (although it also is a “gaffe").
This bag is for knit works of an older woman (soon turning 90 years), she wouldn't hang the bag on his shoulder neither use light fabrics, she wanted a bag of burgundy and blue colors, and two inches smaller than always I make.
I had to cut the block with appliqué, using extra colors (beige color helps a lot), put a little lace, and this was the result. I knew that she loved the bag and I was satisfied with this challenge.
Also this week I met Yasmin of “Patchwork, mi passion” blog, a very charming person, we set to talk on a bench in the middle a store of fabrics, while vendors and customers continued their routine, were more than two hours entertaining and well utilized. She gave me a needle case, very beautiful and neatly worked. Thanks Yasmin.
Goodbye.
