¡Nada se pierde! Si no te sirve para un proyecto, lo empleas en otro. Adapté el molde de este estuche a la pieza acolchada aquí y en una tarde quedó listo. Quedará disponible en La Tienda, la que he tenido abandonada últimamente.
Nothing is lost! If does not work for a project, you use it in another. I adapted the pattern of this case to the piece quilted here, and, in an afternoon the case was ready. This work will be available in La Tienda, I've had lately abandoned. Hice otro banano, usé una tela con rosas en fondo negro, y su efecto me encantó. También lo puedes ver aquí.

De liebre a tortuga / Hare to tortoise

Hace unos días terminé el segundo objetivo del SAL de la cesta. Disfruté cosiéndolo y me divertí mucho con las manzanas. Sé que la mayoría de las participantes hizo este bloque hace rato, pero si alguien está topando con las manzanas, les cuento que corté círculos del tamaño de una moneda de diez pesos (chilenos), pasé un hilván alrededor y formé un mini yoyo, el que cosí en el árbol.

A few days ago I finished the second objective of SAL of the basket. I enjoyed sewing it and I had fun with apples. I know most of the participants made this block for a while, but if anyone is encountering the apples, I cut circles the size of ten pesos (Chile); I spent a basting around and formed a mini yoyo, to sew on the tree.

Por otro lado, cuando hice el primer objetivo, lo cosí con puntada festón, y para no perderlo, lo emplearé en un estuche. Inspirada con el acolchado a mano, ya tengo listo las otras piezas para armarlo.

On the other hand, when I made the first objective, I sewed scallop stitch, and not to lose it, I shall use it in a case. Inspired by the hand quilting, I have the other parts ready for assembly.
Lo único que me ha costado, es sacar las líneas del marcador, yo uso este lápiz que según las instrucciones se limpia con agua, pero a mí no me ha resultado tan simple. ¿Hay alguien más que lo use y me pueda contar cómo borra las marcas?
(Descartada la alternativa de botarlo).

Rosas y corazones / Roses and hearts

Este es mi último trabajo: un pie de cama, y como otros que he hecho, resultó de unir bloques realizados en diferentes épocas, y que quedan guardados hasta que les encuentro un uso.

Las rosas están aplicadas a mano (veo mucho trabajo de aplicación a máquina, mientras lo práctico… avanzo a mano).
En los bloques de 25 parches usé muchas telas floreadas, es un bloque tan simple, pero su efecto me encanta.
Los bloques de corazones venían en un panel, y en ellos practiqué el festón a máquina.

The roses are applied by hand (I see a lot of work for machine application, whereas I practicality ... I walk by hand.)
In blocks of 25 patches I used many floral fabrics, is a easy block, but the effect I love.
The blocks of hearts came on a panel, and here I practiced the Scallop machine. Hice el acolchado a máquina en forma individual para cada bloque y luego los uní usando la técnica “quilt as you go”; empleé diferentes telas, incluso una mostrada aquí.
Asistí a un matrimonio días atrás y éste fue mi presente.

I made the machine quilting for each block individually and then joined using the technique "quilt as you go", I used different fabrics, even shown here.
I attended days ago a wedding and this was my present.
También esta semana recibí el premio de la carrera de liebres, gracias a Mónica por las telas, cintas, botones, carretes artesanales de madera, un simpático pollo y chocolates que me envió.

Banano de tela / Fanny pack Fabric

Un nuevo trabajo, diferente a los que acostumbro hacer es este banano de tela. La persona que lo pidió deseaba reemplazar el de material sintético por uno de tela y así evitar la irritación en la piel que produce el plástico durante esta época veraniega.

A new job, different from what I usually do is this fanny pack fabric. The person, who asked, wanted to replace one of synthetic material by other material fact (fabric) and avoid irritation to the skin that produces the plastic during the summer season.

Para hacerlo, conseguí uno en desuso y lo desarmé, es una buena forma de hacer patrones. Le puse un bolsillo atrás con cierre y otro en el interior, además de detalles con botones y parches en forma de flores.

No es difícil coserlo, sólo hay que tener en cuenta que es como coser una cartera en miniatura.
